What is
Hastelloy 22 pipe
Hastelloy C22 (UNS N06022) pipe is a high-performance nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy pipe that effectively resists various corrosive and oxidizing chemicals, pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress cracking. It exhibits excellent machinability, high ductility, and favorable mechanical properties, maintaining outstanding performance even in high-temperature environments. In certain corrosive media, it outperforms other alloys such as C-276.
Key Characteristics & Composition
C22 is a nickel-based superalloy.
Its key elements include chromium, molybdenum, nickel, as well as tungsten, iron and cobalt.
It exhibits superior corrosion resistance compared to stainless steel,withstanding both oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids,chloride pitting, and crevice corrosion.
It possesses excellent oxidation resistance and strength at elevated temperatures,but is generally not suitable for environments exceeding 1250°F (677°C).
